Think of CADR as a purifier's productive output: the volume of genuinely filtered air it delivers into your room every hour. A CADR of 400 m³/h means 400 cubic metres of clean air produced every sixty minutes. A larger room simply requires a higher CADR to achieve the same result in the same time.
ACH tells you how many times the volume of air in your room passes through the purifier's filters each hour. It helps you judge how quickly filtered air is delivered through the room. For many homes, 4–5 ACH is a useful planning target; some households choose a higher target for bedrooms or higher-sensitivity needs.

Why experienced buyers deliberately buy bigger.
Think of two cars travelling at the same motorway speed. A large luxury saloon, known for its smooth, near-silent V12, cruises there with barely a flicker on the rev counter. A smaller-engined car reaching that same speed has to work — audibly and noticeably — close to its limit. Both arrive at the same destination. The experience of the journey is entirely different.
Air purifiers work exactly the same way. A unit correctly sized for a room must run at high speed to meet its rated CADR — generating 55–60 dB of noise and wearing out its filter within months.
